Adventurous three!!

Miss Laila Elizabeth is no longer a terrible two, but she is now an adventurous three!  Happy Birthday Laila!  On December 23rd Laila turned the big three!  It was a low key day being the day in San Antonio after Lainie's seizure, both girls still having their colds and now mom and dad had developed their lovely colds also!  But we wanted to make the best of this great day!

The weekend before Christmas, Laila celebrated her birthday with a few of our good friends and their kiddos at home.  It was fun to see how much Laila had changed since her last birthday!  The only issue Laila had during her gift opening was a certain little girl name "Lainie" that wanted to open and play with the gifts right along with her sister!  Laila was not having it!  But we made it through it!

Laila had a Little Mermaid cake this year along with over 10 candles!  She didn't want to stop with just three!  What she didn't know at the time was that the candles were trick candles and re lit!!  Lainie even got in a few licks when Laila was busy!! :)

Laila enjoying her sugar!! :)

Along with all the great gifts she received, Laila was over excited about the beauty table Andy and I got her!!

It was a fun day, lots of sugar and a couple more months before we have another little one that turns two (Lainie) :)

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from the Nestoss'!  We hope everyone had a great holiday spent with family and friends!  We decided to pack up the kiddos and head to San Antonio, TX for Christmas this year!  The girls and I were super excited to get out of our apartment "hole" for a few days and have some fun!  What is Christmas without a Christmas cold right!?!?!  Both Laila and Lainie had been battling colds and pink eye the previous week, so we were hoping for a quick recovery for our trip!  Wishful thinking! :)

Thank goodness for dvd players in cars!  Laila was wrapped up in her Dora movie, along with Lainie!  Our road ahead looked quiet and great, weren't we in for a surprise!!  60 miles out of San Antonio, I glanced back at the girls to make sure all was well.  I was horrified to find Lainie in the middle of a seizure!  This isn't the first seizure miss Lainie Lou has dealt with.  When she was 9 months old, she developed a very bad cold which lead to her first seizure.  Anyways, Andy pulled over and both of us with cat like reflexes got Lainie our of the car and held her onto her until she finished.  Talk about the scariest moment of my life.  As hard as it was to remain calm myself, poor Laila was crying and upset with what she was seeing.  Thankfully there was an ER about 10 miles down the road that got Lainie in ASAP!  After finding out she had a temp. of 103, they told us it was another febrile seizure.  This is the bodies way of dealing with the increase of temperature so quickly.  Thankfully she got medicine and returned back to her normal self.  That night, we had a lot to be thankful for!  In the future, whenever she gets a cold we will have to watch her temperature like a hawk!

Finally in San Antonio, we enjoyed the rest of our Christmas vacation walking around the city, eating at great restaurants, visiting with Andy's co-workers (Zachry has an office in San Antonio), touring the Alamo, walking along the Riverwalk and playing at the children's museum!  It was a rough at the beginning of our vacation, but we made up for it the rest of our time there!

Big sisters!!

Laila and Lainie are excited to announce they are going to be big sisters on June 30th!  Laila understands that mommy has a baby in her tummy and can't wait to help out.  Lainie just nods her head and smiles, who knows what she is thinking! :)  The day I found out I was pregnant, I had Lainie wear a shirt that said "sister to bee" and Laila wear her big sister shirt.  After Andy got home from work, I asked if he liked the girls' shirts?  His eyes grew bigger and said really!!??  After showing him the pregnancy test and clarifying that there was a second line and that I wasn't seeing things, we were both excited!  It was hard to keep this a secret from our family and friends, but thrilled to be able to share the good news!!

I've been experiencing bad nauseousness for about two months now and hope it ends soon!  This pregnancy is totally different from Laila and Lainie's.  I'm craving all kinds of crazy foods and so thankful I have an understanding husband who doesn't mind picking up items at the store for me!  Plus at the end of the day, Andy listens to all my complaints about my aches and pains!!  But Andy can't complain much himself since he will have a DD for another 9 months!

Andy asks Laila every now and then if she wants another sister or a brother?  Everyday it seems to change, it will be fun once we find out!  I give a lot of credit to the ladies that can hold back and not find out what they are having!  I don't think Andy or I could do that!!  Especially being our last baby with already having two girls!  It would be torture!!  So yes, we will find out what we are having!  As of right now, this will probably be a MN baby, which will be a nice treat for our family and friends who live close to us!  We have a lot to be thankful for this time of year!  Merry Christmas!!

It's about that time again!

Yet again I am loss for words to write, as I am reminded by my lovely husband to write in our blog!  It's interesting how fast he disappears when asked if he would like to add a couple lines of his thoughts! :)  But he's right, I've been behind on the blog!  Slowly but surely we are getting close to being done in Nacogdoches.  We still have a two months left, but we see the light at the end of the tunnel.  It does make us excited to be able to see, visit and catchup with all our friends and family back home!  It doesn't however make me excited that we will be moving back to a COLD winter wonderland!  I will miss this weather, can't believe I'm finally saying that!!  We will for sure miss everyone we've met in TX!

To catch you up, our latest visitors to Nacogdoches, TX were Andy's parents.  They arrived the night before Thanksgiving.  The girls woke up Thursday morning to sounds in the living room.  Their faces looked confused since they knew where Andy and I were, but who was in the living room?  After a few seconds, Laila ventured into the living room to take a sneak peak.  As soon as she discovered who it was, she ran back with a smile!  We spent our Thanksgiving with good friends we made in TX.  We enjoyed a wonderful cooked meal, visiting, kids playing and eating some more!  After everyone went home, I decided to go to Walmart at 9:15pm!  I asked Andy if he would like to join me, but i'll let you guess what he decided to do.  It involves a blue shiny can and Andy sitting on a couch!  So I went by myself and waited 25 minutes in line for a couple items.  I was very pleased with how organized Walmart was!  I was in and out in no time!  The rest of the week/weekend was spent showing his parents around TX!  We revisited the Drive-Thur Safari and said hello to all our animal friends again!  Andy made a new friend/girl friend.  A certain camel at the drive thru was very fond of him and proceeded to stick her head inside to give him a kiss.  It was a fun day with great weather!  Later in our visit, Laila and Lainie were excited to see Santa!  Santa asked Laila if she was good?  Of course her response was yes!  He asked what she wanted for Christmas and she gladly told him a pink bike!  Lainie just nodded the entire time he talked to her!  Both girls stood in front of him like status and did not move!  They were super excited to have talked to Santa! We enjoyed having Andy's parents here to celebrate Thanksgiving and to show them a little piece of TX we've been enjoying for the past 10 months.

December is here already and the girls are still growing like weeds!!  Lainie has graduated into Laila's toddler bed!  After a week of putting Lainie to bed in her crib and finding her on the floor the next morning with her blanket covering her, we decided to try the toddler bed since she clearly was telling us she did not want to sleep in her crib.  Andy and I are thrilled she has taken it upon herself to get into a toddler bed!!  So far three nights and naps during the day in the toddler bed!!  Laila still tells Lainie it's her bed, but we are pretty sure Lainie has claimed it!  Laila is still choosing to sleep on her dora layout couch!  Whatever works I guess!!  Anyways, we hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!  Till the next (soon)! EN

P.s.  I've reposted this post from December 2nd just in case this has missed anyone!  Enjoy!

Cherokee Trace Drive-Thru Safari!

Today the Nestoss' went on another adventure in Reklaw, TX!  Andy, Laila, Lainie and I ventured out to the Cherokee Trace Drive-Thru Safari!  We couldn't believe we didn't do this sooner!!  We received a pamphlet that described the 18 types of animals we would encounter, along with two full bags of pellets for us to feed/spoil the animals with!  Laila felt so proud of the fact she got her very own bag, it made her feel like a real big girl!!  She couldn't wait for us to start seeing animals for her to feed!

After entering the 300 acre nature preserve, we were greeted by a couple curious noises of Zebras, Blackbuck, Barasingha also called swamp deer.  Lainie our animal lover was less than excited at first.  She was not impressed with the animals trying to get to know her through the window.  It took some time, but she finally came around to throw a couple of pellets out the window to the Red Kangaroo!  This was my favorite animal we saw!  As we watched him jump the path to follow us, I couldn't help but enjoy seeing this animal run so free!  We actually had a trail of "new" friends that followed us for a good amount of the way!  I kept kidding Andy he made one very good friend, the Sika which is the Japanese word for small deer.  This guy would not leave his car door side!

After driving by the Miniature Donkey's, Highland Cattle, Ducks, Emu, Rocky Mountain Elk, Llama and much more, we finally saw Laila's favorite, the Canadian Woodland Bison!  Laila and I pointed out that there was a mom, dad and two little ones, just like our family.  It was so much fun seeing all the animals and getting an upclose look!  There were a couple times Andy had to close the windows to prevent our "new" friends from getting to know us even better!! :)  Laila was more than willing to let them in our vehicle!  Lainie on the other hand was glad there was the window between us and the animals!!  I have a feeling Lainie loves being able to go up and pet animals her size, not ones she has to look up to!  She did have a great time as she said bye bye and waved at the end!!  I was very impressed with Laila today!  Usually she is shy, not wanting to explore new animals, but Lainie instead.  Today it was the other way around!  In the end we saw all 17 animals except the turkeys!  They must of known that Thanksgiving was near!! :)  Til the next!  EN

Norman-dilly!

As many of you know, we have another member of our family that doesn't get much recognition on this blog.  It is no one other than our guinea pig Norman.  Andy and I have owned three other guinea pigs in the past and loved each one of them!  Ok maybe just me, but Andy did enjoy them too!  We adopted Norman from Lufkin, TX in March and has been a wonderful addition to our family!!  I asked Laila the other day what she thought Norman was thinking or saying when he squeaked.  She said Norman was happy because we gave him lettuce.  I'm sure if Norman could speak he would have a lot more to say, so it's probably good he doesn't! :)

His best friend is Lainie who provides him with all kinds of things that a guinea pig could only imagine!  Such things as spoons, toys, Lainie's food, crayons, keys and more!  Half the time we have to check Normans cage if we lost something!  I don't know how many spoons I have thrown away cleaning his cage because they were hidden in his litter!  Andy heard me the other day saying hello to Norman and just laughed and shook his head.  Deep down inside, I'm sure when the girls and I are gone, Andy is right there carrying on a conversation with Norman!  Andy and Norman have to stick together since the girls out number the boys in this household!! :)

When my parents came to visit a month ago, they brought their two dogs.  Norman fell in love with my parents dog Buttercup!  He would squeak, purr and get all excited when she would visit his cage!  So even little guys like Norman can fall in love!!  Opposites do attract! :)  He not only is our little burglar alarm, but he has made Laila and Lainie so happy!!!    Til the next!!  EN

Happy Halloween!!

The girls have hit their candy quota for the Halloween season!  Besides trick or treating, we have been thrilled to have gone to a Halloween party and a few events in town this year!  In September, Laila decided she wanted to be Aerial from The Little Mermaid.  So we figured Aerial would need one of her side kicks, no one other than Sebastian!!  Lainie so proudly represented the crab by wearing the costume the entire time!

A bit before Halloween, Andy, the girls and I dressed up for a friends party to kick off the Halloween season!!  With the girls costumes done, Andy and I decided to be pumpkin pie!  I am pretty sure Andy got the easy out this year for costumes!!  Don't worry though, I'll make sure he makes up for it next year!  After our Halloween party warm up, downtown Nacogdoches had its annual Scare on the Square event.  More than 40 vendors were there passing out candy in a great kid friendly environment.  Not only was there candy, but a petting zoo and the Humane Society.  Lainie would of loved to put a puppy in her Halloween bucket if she could of!  I could just imagine trying to explain that one to Andy when we got home! :)

With Halloween finally here, Laila could not be more thrilled with the concept of ringing a doorbell, saying trick or treat and receiving a piece of candy!  So if you find your doorbell ringing in the future, you better have some candy on hand! :)  j/k!  Laila had a huge improvement from last years trick or treating.  This year she understood she couldn't eat every piece of candy that went in her bucket right away!  When told she could have one piece of candy on the way home, her response was, I'll wait til we get home to look through it!  Who is this little girl? :)  Lainie on the other hand took the place of her sister from last year!  She held up the trick or treating crew by having to examine every piece of candy received and on top of that eat M&M's during this process!  But she totally enjoyed seeing all the costumes, kids and of course the household pets that would come to the door to hand out the candy!  Andy and I had a great time going around the neighborhoods with the girls and enjoyed the weather!!  This was a first to not have to wrap the girls up in winter clothes under their costumes!!

As we got home after trick or treating, Laila expressed to us that she needed a break!  Almost three and she needed a break!  It was a lot of work getting that candy, but now we have a huge bowl of goodies for going to the potty, eating all their food and a little treat here and there!  This year was a fun filled Halloween!!  So like the mummy said to the detective, let’s wrap this up!  Happy Halloween!!  Til the next!! Lil' Punkins'!!

Right now during this time of year, it is very strange for us to not be dusting off our winter coats, hats and gloves and gearing up for winter!  Instead we are shutting off our AC and leaving our windows open since the first time we moved to TX!!  Although it has been a tough HOT summer, the high for Nacogdoches, TX tomorrow is 68 degrees, compared to a high of 46 degrees in Buffalo, MN!  This the first time i'm saying I LOVE this weather!!   Don't worry MN, apart of me is still there with you all in the chilly October weather that we do miss!

This week kicked off Halloween in our house!  Most of our Halloween decorations are still in MN, so we kept it pretty simple this year and put up a pumpkin door decoration, which i'm amazed is still intact and hanging without tears! :)  Andy, the girls and I got into full pumpkin decorating mode and painted Laila and Lainie's pumpkins!  We do plan on carving them as it gets closer to Halloween!  Laila being like her mom, couldn't let a blank canvas sit on her pumpkin for too long!  It was a fun, creative mess!

As well as painting our pumpkins, we enjoyed going to the Nacogdoches fair!  The girls loved the animal expo which included mainly cows.  Also the amusement rides and fair food made for a fun day!  The animals were of course a big hit for no one other than miss Lainie Lou!  At one point Lainie tried to climb into the cows pen and pet it.  The cow was not impressed!!  Andy and Laila rode a number of rides to which I was more nervous and scared to watch than Laila was to ride!  She for sure has Andy's thrill genes!!  Unlike Lainie, who was less excited and could hardly even ride the farris wheel!  The man operating the ride said her face said it all!!  Now we know! :)  We spent the great day with our TX friends the Meders, and John (MN)!

To end the great weekend, the girls, Andy and John went swimming for the last time on Sunday!  I myself can't believe swimming in the middle of October!  Laila and Lainie enjoyed every last minute of  it!  Bring on Fall!!!!  Till the next!!  EN

Goertel's In Nacogdoches!

The Goertel's (my parents) arrived in Nacogdoches!  Last week Andy, the girls and I were super excited to welcome our first visitors to Nacogdoches, TX!!  We were looking forward to showing them the full Texas experience that we have enjoyed for the past 7 months!

First of all, we couldn't of asked for better weather!!  Thank you TX!!  Our first stop was to the Lufkin, TX zoo!  This was where Laila met her friend the goose almost 6 months ago!  It's amazing to see how much the girls have changed/ grown since their last visit!  Lainie was running up to each animal with excitement, while Laila was making all the animal sounds to Grandma and Grandpa of the animals we saw.  Along with the zoo, we visited the Gardens of the American Rose Center, the Louisiana Boardwalk and enjoyed seeing the Mississippi River all in Shreveport, LA!

To continue the TX week, I took my parents to a real livestock sale!  I can just imagine all the looks we received from ranchers/farmers as we walked into the arena with two little girls and my mom dressed as an obvious tourist!  After the smiles, we were amazed at the steers and calves that were going up for auction!  Lainie (our animal lover) was so excited she couldn't stop calling out "puppies"!!  Of course she thinks everything is a puppy right now! :)  Laila was also impressed by how large their horns were!!  There were a couple times she asked if we could take one home with us!  Leaving the sale, I imagined all the steers and calves going to their forever homes!  (I can hope/wish right!?)  We ended the day with a visit to the Nacogdoches Humane Society.  Andy was lucky I didn't come home with a steer and/or a dog!!  Thankfully my dad was their to keep my mom and I on track and not let us make any big animal purchases! :)

Along with the great food and company, we ended the rest of the week with Millard's Crossing Historic Village.  What a fun place to learn and go back in time!  This is where the girls enjoyed their Easter egg hunt!  Of course we couldn't send my parents back to ND without taking my dad golfing!  Andy, my dad and I went golfing at Woodland Hills golf course Saturday morning.  Besides getting up early on a Saturday, it was a lot of fun!  We couldn't of asked for a better morning, weather and beautiful view!  To top the morning off, my dad got a birdie on hole 18!!  Awesome end to golfing!

It was sad to see my parents leave, but it was such a great visit!  I look forward to seeing them soon!  I told Andy it's easier for myself to leave and go home than it is for people to leave my home.  It makes you appreciate what you have!!  We look forward to more visitors during our time in Texas!!  Til the next!  EN

GO BISON!!

Go Bison!  After Saturdays game of the Bison vs. Gophers, our family of four and a guinea pig are still celebrating the win!!  Andy was so excited, he couldn't stop jumping up and down on his bad knee that he was suppose to be taking it easy on!  I guess the doctor didn't realize the Bison were playing the Gophers! :)  We even had our own cheerleader (Laila) sporting her NDSU cheerleader outfit for the game screaming, GO BISON along with her dad.  Lainie even got in a few screams as well, but I couldn't tell you if it was cheering for the game or that Laila ran into Lainie while she was cheering!!

Before the big NDSU game, we were invited to a SFA (Stephen F. Austin) tailgating party with our friends here in TX!  As many of you know, we love to tailgate.  As sad as it was to not be able to tailgate in MN and go to the game, we were happy to join in on the good food, fun, beer and great company of another tailgating group!!  Even our friend John (Gopher fan) from MN joined us for the fun day!

Laila and Lainie had a great time running around, playing catch and gathering every stick on the ground!  They must of felt too clean, because when we got home half of the dirt on the ground was now on them!  I also had a great time visiting and watching the guys play lawn games in the 90 degree weather!! :)  It was a fun afternoon and a great warm up for the big event that night!!!!

As soon as we got home and cleaned up, Andy hooked up our computer/internet to our tv to watch the game!  As the game started, a friendly bet was made between John and Andy.  Laila was the lucky recipient of the prize money and deposited it in her piggy bank!  Sadly, John was out numbered by all the NDSU Bison fans in the apartment!!  After the game, Andy gave John a hug to show Laila and Lainie his good sportmanship, but really inside Andy was screaming GO BISON!!!!  Til the next!  EN

Home sweet home!

Dear TX, while we are gone visiting family and friends in ND and MN, please make sure to remember to change your thermostat to at least 80 degrees or below before we return!!!  Thank you!  Of course I'm probably dreaming, but hey it doesn't hurt to ask right!?  If not, i'll try to bring some of their wonderful fall weather back with me! :)  Stepping off the plane into ND, we were happily surprised by the cool breeze and the fact that we didn't have to use the AC in the car!!  (This was the starting of my post while I was home for two weeks!  Since I wasn't able to finish it there, I decided to continue it in TX!)

Yes TX, we are back!!  The weather, friends, family, etc. were all so wonderful while we were home!  I guess you could say the weather wasn't the greatest for some people back in ND/MN at 60-70 degrees, but I loved it!  I am a sweatshirt girl at heart and would take wearing pants and long sleeves any day!  However, as I left ND with my sweatshirt on, it suddenly was not necessary upon arriving in TX!  I do admit, it was nice to see the thermostat in our car read 90 degrees for a change!!

Our trip back home was full of visiting with family and friends, my grandma's 90th birthday party and a visit to Ely MN to see my sister and her family!  We had so much fun seeing my brother and sisters families, I wish we could do that more often!!  The kids had such a great time playing together!!  My parents recently went to Alaska and brought back matching t-shirts for all of their six grandkids!  While we were home, we were able to take their pictures together wearing them!!

My Grandma's 90th birthday was almost like a
family reunion!  All my aunts, uncles and cousins were there!  I can't remember the last time everyone was together like this!  It's amazing to think how this wonderful women created this family!  During this time, the girls got the chance to ride a horse,

4-wheel and run free on the farm!!  After the fun birthday weekend, Andy returned to TX for work.  The girls and I decided to stay back for a while longer and continue to visit.

During that time we decided to head to Ely, MN, where my sisters family lives, for the Harvest Moon Festival!  My parents, their two dogs, the girls and I camped for the weekend!  It was so nice to be able to let the girls run around, ride their bikes, roast smore's at a real campfire and just get dirty!!

The Havest Moon Festival was quite the experience, including the All American Lumber Jack Show!  At the end of their show, they encourage the kids/adults young at heart! :) to participate in log rolling!  My sister and I wanted to challange eachother in this event, but my niece got sick, so she couldn't make it!  So instead she sent my nephew Gabriel (log rolling pro!) in her place!  Gabriel rocks at this sport and was a great coach!  It was a lot of fun and thankfully he let me win! ;)  It was a fun weekend!

To end our fun stay home, we ventured out to an apple orchard!  The girls had such a fun time picking apples!  Laila kept telling us she only had two apples in her bag and needed more!  She was super excited, she didn't realize she was putting the apples in all the other bags and forgetting hers!!  But in the end she did fill up her bag!  Lainie only picked one apple and was very attached it, not letting it out of her sight!  She wasn't letting that apple go anytime soon!  Apple picking was my favorite part of my birthday!

Lastly, I celebrated my (hold your breath :) j/k) 29th birthday!  We had a great time visiting with our families and eating cupcakes!  I think the girls enjoyed the cupcakes the most!!  It was a great day!!

The girls and I flew back to TX early Saturday morning!  I couldn't of asked for a better flight with myself and the two girls!  When we arrived at the airport, we were greeted by Andy!  He was super excited to see all three of his girls!!  Laila went straight for a big hug!  She wouldn't let go!!  Lainie was so happy to see him and gave him her best hugs!  Laila was super excited to see all her dresses in her closet and Norman, so we headed back to Nacogdoches!  It is so nice to be back!

After getting home, I was happily suprised by a new pair of cowgirl boots Andy got me for my birthday!!  I love them!!  Watch out TX!  Anyways, it was a fun time, but now it's back to TX adventures for the time being!  Til the next!!

No shoes, no shirt, no service!!

It's been awhile once again since i've jotted down our time here in TX.  Due to this wonderful heat wave, we haven't been able to do much but hangout in our hole (apartment!) :)  That is exactly what it is starting to feel like.  It's interesting to think how much time we've spent in our apartment this summer, when during the winter back home we do the same in our house!  Although, I am definetly looking forward to the winter in TX this year!  Hopefully it will make up for this summer!

This past weekend, we did have some fun!  Andy and Laila went to her first movie in the theatre!  She picked Winnie the Poo.  Andy was hoping she would of picked the new Planet of the Apes movie, but maybe next time! J/K!  She did great and enjoyed the movie, along with a bag of peanut butter M&M's!  During this, Lainie and I took one for the team and headed to Target! :)  It was hard, but someone had to do it!  (We loved every moment of it!)

But before the movie, we all decided to go eat a quick dinner at the mall where the movie theatre is located.  As we were in the process of getting our food, I heard a giggle from a couple people behind us.  Not thinking my child (Laila), was up to anything, I went about finishing my order in line.  As I glanced down to make sure she wasn't taking off her shoes, I was shocked to see Laila standing in line with only her diaper and shoes on!  Honestly all I could do was look at Andy and laugh!  What else can you do!  I think the heat had finally gotten to her!! :)

Besides trying to stay cool, Laila has taken up the hobby of painting, coloring and wanting to cook as she would say!  (Basically mixing ingrediants for me!) :)  She has taken up art like her mom and cooking like her auntie!!  I can't tell you how many times she has shown us her artistic ability by coloring on the walls, fridge, stove, dishwasher and her sister!  Thank goodness for magic erasers!  Besides being a canvas, Lainie has become more vocal, as she can be heard screaming at the top of her lungs with excitement!  Her two favorite words right now are mommy and puppy!  Norman of course is still her best friend!  The girls have made some wonderful friends (as well as their mom!) and can't imgaine what life would be like here without them!  TX has been very kind to us!

I hope to have some more exciting stuff to tell you all (notice I didn't use ya'll yet!) :) sometime soon!  Til the next!! EN

An apple a day, keeps the doctor away!!

We may have been out of the loop for awhile, but not gone!!  Because of this "wonderful" heat wave hitting us and many of you, we have not been out and about!  I guess you could count going to Walmart with myself and two little ones as an adventure in TX!  Usually there is a handoff of a sucker, candy or some sort of food to keep the boss's happy during the trip, but it is quite the adventure!  Since we are cooped up in our little apartment, we have been making treats, coloring, painting and of course going swimming!  Thankfully we have a pool in our apartment complex!!  Every weekend you can find/hear Andy and Laila in the pool!!  The girl is a fish!!

This weeks adventures take place going to the doctors!  Laila has started to be "like her dad" and developed allergies!  Sunday night, Laila came inside from the pool and started to itch her eye.  I kept an eye on her through the evening, but by the time I could catch her from itching it, her eye looked like she was in a rough fight!  I would hate to see what the other guy looked like!! :)  Anyways Andy's eyes have the same reaction, so I figured we have been blessed with another allergy to add to the group!  We took her in and found that everything was fine, but a bad case of allergies!!  Laila's bright blue eyes are back to normal!

It was Lainie's turn to visit the doctor today!  This was her 15 month check-up, again how time flys!  I was eager to find out if my little Lainie Lou grew!  Lainie was such a good patient!  Here is her report!!  Height-96% Weight-25% (I wish I would only gain that much and she is our eater!) and HC-85% (I'm looking at a future Engineer with those brains!?!) :)  Lainie did great with her two shots, getting her ears checked and etc.!

Lastly our last adventure was to Hobby Lobby here in TX to get Laila a piggy bank!  She kept telling Andy for the past couple nights how much she wanted his money!! :)  He laughed as he expressed how other people want his money too! (I won't mention any names!) :)  But in her cute little voice, she kept saying daddy I want your money!!  So we came up with a plan that if she is good during the day and helps out, Andy will put some money in her new piggy bank she just painted!  She's saving for retirement already and shakes it all the time to make sure Lainie hasn't started to collect!! :)
Anyways til the next, stay cool!!!  EN
